Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope all of you had a great weekend! I want to say thank you to all of you that were able to attend the first "Begin to Believe" event at Columbus High School. I really enjoyed the night and getting the opportunity to talk with the people that were able to make it. Well today is Valentine's Day and of course the thought that comes to mind when we think about today is love. What is love? It is more than a feeling. It is more than an emotion. It is a action of sacrifice. I hope today you will think about what love truly means. There will be many gifts, cards, candies, and words of affection given all across the country, but the true act of love is shown in one person. Jesus Christ! He loved each of us so much, that he would send his only son so that we could have life. This is the true essence of love: Sacrifice.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

John 15:13
John 3:16
